Volunteer

Join our impactful volunteer program where you'll have the unique opportunity to make a difference in the community by engaging one-on-one with clients. Each volunteer is assigned a client for a one-year commitment, participating in home visits, care conferences, and advocating for their needs and wishes. While offering companionship, volunteers also monitor clients' environments and progress. Ready to make a positive impact? Indiana stands out as one of the few states without a publicly funded guardian solution, leaving adults in need without a state-run program. Private guardianship, often costly, becomes a barrier for many we aim to serve. At IGS, we are dedicated to offering guardianship services to individuals regardless of their financial means. We affirm that no one will be denied these vital services due to their financial situation.

Our commitment relies on the support of grants and contributions from the community to sustain our operations. Your generosity is not just a donation; it's an investment in the lives of some of our community's most vulnerable individuals. We welcome any inquiries or donations, and you can reach out to our Executive Director, Amber Poff, at amber@inguardian.org. Your commitment plays a crucial role in ensuring that we can consistently deliver high-quality services to our clients.
