About Indiana Guardianship Services, Inc.
Indiana Guardianship Services, Inc. is a nonprofit organization providing court-appointed guardianship services to adults in Indiana who are unable to make certain decisions for themselves due to disability, illness, or other circumstances. Appointed by the courts, Indiana Guardianship Services serves as guardian of the person and/or estate, advocating for the individual’s wishes, best interests, and basic human needs while upholding the principles of dignity, fairness, and least restrictive care.

We work collaboratively with courts, healthcare providers, families, and community partners to ensure individuals receive appropriate support, protection, and advocacy. Services are provided through both state-funded (VASIA) and private-pay arrangements, allowing us to meet the needs of individuals across a range of circumstances.
Empowering Lives Together.
Indiana Guardianship Services, Inc. was established to address the growing need for ethical, accountable guardianship for vulnerable adults in Indiana—particularly those without appropriate family or support systems. Since its founding in 2017, the organization has served individuals through court appointment, partnering closely with Indiana courts and community agencies to provide guardianship services that prioritize dignity, safety, and individual choice. As the needs of the

community have evolved, IGS has continued to strengthen its practices, professional standards, and service models. Today, the organization remains committed to providing high-quality guardianship through both the Volunteer Advocates for Seniors and Incapacitated Adults (VASIA) program & private-pay services, ensuring continuity of care and advocacy for those who need it most.
