Role: Volunteer Advocate
Requirements:

Minimum age: Volunteers must be at least 21 years old.

Commitment and interaction: A minimum 12-month commitment is required, with volunteers seeing their assigned client at least once per month.

Criminal history: Volunteers cannot have a criminal history involving felony or misdemeanor charges related to illegal use of property/funds or any form of abuse towards another person.

Application process: Eligible volunteers must complete the application, including a background check and confidentiality agreement.

Training sessions: Volunteers will attend in-person training sessions as required.

Communication skills: Volunteers must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Personal qualities: Volunteers are expected to demonstrate patience, compassion, and an ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Role: Volunteer Guardian
Requirements:

Minimum age: Volunteers must be at least 21 years old.

Commitment and interaction: Volunteers must complete the Volunteer Advocate role for a minimum of 12 consecutive months with a minimum 12-month commitment being required, with volunteers seeing their assigned client at least once per month.

Criminal history: Volunteers cannot have a criminal history involving felony or misdemeanor charges related to illegal use of property/funds or any form of abuse towards another person.

Application process: Eligible volunteers must complete the application, including a background check and confidentiality agreement.

Training sessions: Volunteers will attend in-person training sessions to cover National Guardianship Association Standards of Practice, Indiana Code, and other guardian responsibilities as required.
